REVIEW: THE LLP MAGAZINE

Literature is a textually transmitted disease, normally contracted in childhood. And I contracted this disease of reading a genre of books since I was in grade 5th.
On the constant look out of new and exqusitive collections of books and after reading and being greatly inspired by Purba Chakraborty's Mythological Monologues, I was intrigued enough to look what more she had in store. In lieu with the same, my eyes fell on The LLP magazine.

To put it into short mostly what made my endorphins rush at the very first place was its cover. Vintage, Ah! I so loved the vintage looking appearance of the beautiful portrait of a women grafted on the front itself. Can't really emphasise over my excitement any more.

The LLP Magazine basically is a half yearly magazine coming up as the summer and winter editions. So this one consists of Literary articles, recommended reads by the author, art works and some short stories. Moreover what I loved most about this magazine is, it has featured Agatha Christie, about her life and best 7 stories by her.

It also talks about the concept of Existentialism in Dan Brown's latest novel. There are other enthralling literary pieces as well in the magazine which add up to its overall impression that it casts on the readers. I must say that the author's attempt at creating such a versatile literary piece is worth appreciating.

To comment on its overall look out, I would say it is really a spectacular work and really a worth it one, for literature enthusiasts. Infact it is great to see that such immense efforts have been put forth to compile all the literature and related creative pursuits at one place.

I would like to give it a rating of 5/5.

Book Review of Shehar Me Ladka

Some books don’t feel like books at all – they feel like someone opening up a corner of their life and letting you step in. Shaher mein ladka, ladke mein… was that kind of book for me. I come from a small town myself, and like the author, I once carried the same restless dream of moving to a city. Reading these stories, I could almost hear echoes of my own journey – the confusion, the excitement, the way the old world never really leaves you even when you’re chasing a new one. What I loved most is how honest these stories are. Some are drawn from the author’s own life, some from friends and family, and some from the way life just brushes past us when we’re not expecting it. But all of them feel lived-in and real. At times I smiled, at times I just sat quietly with a line long after reading it, and a few stories left me with that sweet ache of remembering where I came from. This isn’t just about small towns and big cities – it’s about the spaces in between, the people who shape us...
